Romance

What has the moon decided to tell the wind today, that it gushes around me in a merry dance? I sit down on the open rooftop carelessly with a smile. Once again, it's a night. A night to feel you near me. A night of musing.

The wind frolics around like a child at play, tossing my open hair around as I shiver a little, hugging my knees. I grasp in vain, trying to catch the wind; decipher its words.

Perhaps your thoughts that the moon once witnessed, the wind brings to me. I grow restless to feel you near. For I know the moon and wind know no centuries. Eras don't matter to them.

The darkness is gone. And the moon reveals itself from the clouds. The moonlight makes my teardrops look like dazzling diamond droplets tonight. For tonight, I feel you near yet so far. Like my soul is complete yet empty.

Tonight I drench in the moonlight in my thirst for your soul. Yet the moon beams cannot quench my thirst. For knowledge is what I seek. And knowledge this world has none.

Of souls and boundless skies.

Of poetry and stories of chivalry.

This world knows only wars and weapons.

Irony perhaps that you, my Warrior, taught me things about Love.
