She looked for stars to wish upon, in the cloud covered sky. Little did she know that her hope made all the stardust come back to her as raindrops. - Suranya

 Tell me I am wrong, Every time I say I am right. Tell me that dreams do come alive. Tell me all I seek will someday walk up to me. Tell me all my pain will be healed. That lay forgotten by most. Let me walk through it,  A dreamer full of hope. Guide me to the love,  That goes beyond time. Guide me to the path,  Let me meet a warrior,  Ready to bleed his heart with mine.  Let the romance of "what if"  Culminate in "what is"  Guide every soul to a forever,  In this crowd of almosts. ~ Suranya

Somewhere on the border a sight beholds;  Blood-soaked soil, rotten corpse,  Children are orphaned and wailing  Houses burnt down,  Women raped and murdered,  Innocents killed over religion,  Caste, creed and country. War is man's weapon of might. - Suranya

Droplets of water trickling down the window pane blending into each other like lovers. Raindrops wet the summer, long awaiting the Rains in thirst. It is time for unions. The thunder is loud, moaning as the clouds attract each other. The lightning is like an ignited desire. The storm brews passionately. The wild wind caresses nature in all its might. Uncontrollable. Raging. The first storm has its own lust for summer. Doesn't it? ~ Suranya

 Swinging to and fro, Between things; Dreams and reality, Mind and Heart, Logic and Magic, Conflicts of the Divine! She is an Angel, mortified By the Sunbeams on Earth's lap, And with every sunset She waves her wand, Of innocence and purity, Across Nature, And decorates the trees, With buds to bloom Into new Dawns, That girl on the swing. ~ Suranya

মনখারাপ এর রাতে তুমি চাঁদের আলোর স্পর্শ। খুশির দিনের হাসি, আমার প্রার্থনার উৎস।  আমার সব টুকু স্বপ্ন আর ভালোবাসা দিয়ে  গড়া একটা কল্পনার রূপ তুমি। তবে আমার সবচেয়ে বড় বাস্তব ও বটে। আমার না বলা কথার ভাষা তুমি। আমার সব আঘাতের মলম। আমার ফিরে চাওয়ার কারণ। কল্পনাটা এতটাই সুন্দর একটা জগৎ,  তাতে ভাষার দরকার হয়না। তাও আমার বাংলার এই পংক্তি  আজ প্রথমবার তোমার জন্য রাখলাম। ~ সুরণ্যা

 Sindoori chand lalat pe ore,  Aakhein unki lahu si jale,  Hunkar unka jab gunja desh mein,  Aurangzeb ka aasan kaape.  Maata Jija ka woh veer putra,  Sai ki pratiksha aur prarthna,  Apne log jinko bhagwan maane,  Maratha Raje Shivaji woh.  Janm jinka matribhumi ke liye  Mrityu se woh kabhi na darre,  Itihas gawa hai unke yudho ka,  Balidano ka, Sahas ka. Sahyadri ka chuha pukare jinko Mughal,  Hindu swaraj ke sahasi sher jo. ~ Suranya

The rising and setting Sun,  Painting the Sea bright Red.  Strings of attachment,  Painting Soulmates Crimson.  Above all, is the Scarlet  Of the Martyrs' blood,  That bleeds for his Nation. ~ Suranya

Who says love has no rules? Have you checked those online tips? Who calls first, who makes the first move? Everything is in an equation of relationships. But have you ever noticed it,  How all the rules you make in love,  Stands against Love itself? How Ego often comes in between  In the disguise of self-respect? Why do you keep things inside you?  Instead of telling them everything? Why do you assume their moves?  As meaningful mistakes made carefully? Who said love is blind? The Ego is perhaps blinder. It never lets you utter an apology. It never lets you make a first move. Who said love doesn't work? Ego is its path of hindrance. It makes you plot your words carefully,  Analyse what's real and what's in an act;  Ego makes you believe in plans and tricks. But guess what? There is something Ego doesn't know.  That Love can never be planned.  © Suranya

 Rhododendron and Lilies abloom,  Canopies on the grape garden,  The marble tomb shines in the morning sun. A boat set sail across the Yamuna. Two souls in silent union. A king. A brave heart. A lover. A princess. A romantic. A beloved. Eyes locked in Desire,  Souls united through Time,  Identities separated by Fate,  Yet a hope, ignited, in the Heart,  To meet finally, on the Other Side. Why, O World, do you separate souls,  Through the most sacred journey of Love? © Suranya

 You and I sit on a cliff, feet dangling  Hand in hand, entwined fingers,  Genuine smiles exchanged. I glance at the setting sun with a longing sigh,  You, at how my eyes reflect the red hues. The royal poinciana petals sway in the breeze,  I giggle at them falling like raindrops in red,  You untangle them from my locks.  The birds make music, the leaves dance,  Eyes meet and we share a silence,  My heart beats faster as you stare at me,  I fumble nervously, you smile, amused. The mountains witness our date with Love. ~ Suranya

You remind me of the Universe,  How timeless and endless truly feels. You remind me of a fire,  Uncontrollable and raging. In Desire. Passion.  And Musing. You remind me of illusions,  Unreal yet so true. Like Dreams. Art. And Mirage. You are my constant. My story. Yet you are not the novel of my life; Long and unnecessarily dragged. Instead, you are more like a short story. Only, I pen you down every day. Rediscovering You in a new light; I knot in an immortal bond with You. For just like those gripping tales,  You remind me of everything  Eternal yet short-lived in today's world;  Like Flowers. Happiness. And Love. ~ Suranya

Let's go back to the days when Pinky Promises were real. When we used to swear on our mothers to make people believe our words, and feared breaking a promise would cause a sin. If we kept promises like we used to as innocent kids, what a beautiful world it would be. - Suranya

 Bloodshed and war, killing the innocent,  Machines are making humans weaker,  I stand here today, watching glaciers melt.  Forests turn to arid lands,  The chirp of birds dying in the traffic snarl,  Animals are endangered, and civilisation is threatened  And I ask you,  O evil Mind. Is this the progress you promised? © Suranya

 Light years apart, distances away  Who said time and space tested love? Ask the Moon,  She will blush all red,  For she knows the love That makes the Sun set everyday  To let Her shine through. A dark veil of stars is  His gift to Her,  To show Her in a million others,  She is the only One for Him. ~ Suranya

I came across a meadow  Where the rainbow met the earth,  And horses grazed, the sunshine blazed  And the birds made the music of life. Far beyond it was the horizon  Where the mountain peaks touched the sky. And the stream meandered past the valley  Of flowers and butterflies alike. Up in the clouds, that touched the peak,  It was a house made of Hope. Where firewood burnt and lavender grew,  And there was happiness in the breeze. In bliss I stood, at the cliff,  The wind playing with my hair,  And I wished on every star that fell tonight,  "Let this dream be, forever, mine." ~ Suranya

You can never forget what hurts you,  Never unlearn its lessons. But you can never burn your hopes down,  No matter how much you burn the bridges. The heart never heeds any warning  It seeks romance time and again.  Love creates the bridge between you and me. We become martyrs of Pain;  Full of bruises yet fierce as warriors,  Because we can always give up on Love,  But Love never gives up on us. - Suranya

Share silences. Share just the sound of your breath. Or the tapping of your feet. Against the chirping of birds, the sound of water or the rustling of leaves. Against the noise and snarl of the city. Share the thousands of emotions silence holds. And once you can read each other's words in the silence, across the phone calls, across the table, or atop the mountains, you will know that the silence of love is the most magical in the world. - Suranya
