Ye Imaratein na jaane kitne yudh dekhe
Khoon se laal hoke roye,
Aj yeh Shanti se khade hai, tumko pukarte huye
Khud ko talasho tum inme.
Ishq se aj nafrat ko mita do,
Kya pata kal ye imaratein tumhari hi Ibarat likhe.

The waves were crashing at her feet. She could feel them. His voice was whispering her name. Her giggles were carefree and happy. Then suddenly the music player stopped. She opened her eyes. Sitting frozen at her spot, on her bed in the cold, dark room. Alone. She wiped away a coming tear. The lonely night was her reality.
He always had the habit of recording voices and sounds. Sounds of everything from the wind to the ves. And their conversation. That day was one of his recording sprees. Their anniversary by the sea. She was annoyed as usual. He was recording their conversations. Little did she know, his voice recordings would be the only thing left to take her through her lonely nights.
Simple hobbies and habits, everlasting effects of those. We never know what can turn precious in just a fraction of a second. Keep those weird habits intact.

Unsung heroes, names forgotten
They often lived their lives hidden
In veils, palaces and sanctums
Their stories, emotions and fears,
Smiles and tears,
Only witnessed by the walls of the fort.
How often I wish walls could speak,
Tell a tale beyond brutal wars, ego and men
Of love, loyalty and prayers of Women.
Of Her, Not the Princess, The Queen or The Mother.
But the person, her soul, heart and mind,
Beyond the Title.

Once, humans wondered, "How did a species become extinct? How was civilisation destroyed? How did it all end one day?"
So they set out in their curiosity to look for answers.
They made a society, made races, castes, creeds, separation on religious bases and finally thought they were invincible. Then it all began.
Country vs country, man vs man, religion vs religion, tribe vs tribe, bloodshed and might, a game of pride.
Where there was at all any peace, the humans made merry on wine, but they were careless campers, destroying nature, burning down forest after forest, hunting down animals for trophies of might.
Then they saw their people die, blood and sweat wasted in hate; children starving to death. They saw houses burn, identity crisis dawned. They had no race, religion or country of their own, nobody to trust, not a soul to hug and mourn.
Each for his own, they struggled to breathe, remembering all the trees that died for their deed. Now they had the answers to the questions. But they wished they didn't.

The still sky was in love with the turbulent sea. She was everything he was not. Bold, rebellious and full of life. He was vast. Endless. And mysterious. No one ever reached him. Neither the birds nor the buildings. As much as humans tried to touch him, he raised his head above all. He was untouched. Alone. The sea, on the other hand, was a giver of life. He touched lives every day. Thousands survived for her. The sky tried to show off his skills for life, too. He tried to impress her with the sun that adorned him for half a day. The hot sun boiled her water; the life around her complained. He tried to shine the moonlight on her darkest nights, but the moon couldn't take away her darkness. The sea smiled at his wooing. The sky was up for another plan. He coloured the sea in his blue. All through the day, he changed shades from midnight blue to turquoise to light blue and back again. The sea was impressed. She reflected his love. He sent sun rays to touch her ripples and filled her heart with the warmth of his love. He said she was his better half. But she sulked.
The sea complained that she didn't have stars, like the sky. The sun and the moon only shone on her > water. But she couldn't find the stars that shine in the sky like diamonds. Smiling, the sky sent some rays again. The ripples reflected them and laid down a thousand glittering stars for the sea. In return, the sea gave him some of her salty water via the messenger of rays. The sky decorated himself in them as the sea smiled at the white and grey clouds hovering over her. Days passed by in distance, and they reflected on each other's love. The wind finally brought the news of the sky's willingness to meet the sea. Catching some wind on the way, the sea tried in vain to rise above and tried to send some waves to meet the sky.
However, she couldn't reach the sky so far away. He remained untouched. So she added some more water to the wind's turbulence. The sky rejected the gift, upset that she didn't come to meet him.
The water poured down in droplets like his tears on her. Could they never meet? The sky wondered. The sea smiled.
"I am only a reflection of you, you are the colour to my soul."
The sky smiled at her once more.
Love just needed the touch of souls. They have had that in plenty. And as the sun was about to set with an orange hue, He decided to bow to her love. For the universe that day, the sky finally met the sea at the horizon.

I had known you
Skin by skin,
Scar by scar.
And just as I thought
I know you enough,
Your soul became a stranger.
