We Don't Talk Anymore

 You live inside those six inches screens,

Twenty four - seven, without a blink,

Denying your loneliness, seeking attention;

You make friends and start conversations.

You run from app to app,

Addicted to pretence perhaps.

Relationships are limited to ten second reply rules,

Attraction by emojis and stickers you choose;

Constant urges to stay in touch,

Even though you don't speak that much.

And from a world only you can see,

Those blue ticks drive you crazy!

You withdraw and judge fast,

Your ego is fed by "Who Should Text First?"

Conversation stops,

Strangers drift apart,

Every side has the same story once it's over,

"We don't talk anymore."
