Perfectly flawed

One night, when out for a walk, he ran off his leash playfully.

"Brownie!" She shouted alarmed, fearing a loss eternally.

The rain started to pour, much like the night she found him.

Her heart beat faster, in anxiety.

She stopped at the figure in the distance, carrying her dog was he

She murmured a "Thank You" while Brownie hugged back pleased.

He had smiled at them both, and the shivering girl offered coffee.

They talked for hours until Brownie yawned grumpily.

The Church Bells rang, and a year later, the ring bearer was wagging his tail

His soulmate had found love, in a stranger he had met.

She stared at her boys playing, sitting pretty in a wedding gown

Her smile needed no makeup glow, her laughter was the happiest music.

She had sought love all her life, chasing the wrong ones.

They never had the guts to fight for her, she was not flawed.

They made her believe she was less.

He stared into her eyes, exchanging vows, the woof interrupted them

His eyes spoke everything she ever looked for,

He called her "Perfectly flawed."
