There was a time when, if you told them, "Hey, not only can you talk to people anywhere across the world in real time, but you can also see them." They would probably have dismissed it as a crazy idea. People in a pandemic a hundred years ago lived through words and letters. Letters that sometimes arrived after the person had arrived or passed away. Years probably went by without seeing someone's face or hearing their voice. It's amazing to imagine how people survived it all. The restrictions. The distances. And the longing. Especially when mental health issues were a myth. We humans most often take things for granted. And count what we don't have. But aren't we blessed to have technology the way it is today? Bringing people closer virtually.
